Solicitation: The NPS anticipates issuing a request for proposals in the winter of 2024/2025.
Bonding: The NPS anticipates bid, performance and payment bonds will be required.
Project Conditions:
The project is located at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site: Clark County, Washington. IAW FAR 36.204, the construction magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
The surrounding area is suburban with minimal staging areas in locations mutually acceptable to the Contractor and the Contracting Officer.
Note any unique material delivery requirements.
The construction site is 5 miles from nearest suppliers and lodging facilities. The Park will remain open during construction, thus contract activities and logistics must be structured and scheduled to minimize visitor impact.
The site requires protective measures to ensure the surrounding area remains undisturbed.
The anticipated period of performance of 140 calendar days including any potential weather shutdown.
Project Scope: The work consists of:
- Removal of existing asphalt parking lot and construction of a new asphalt parking lot and access road.
Improvements will also include:
- Curbs and sidewalks
- New accessible ramp to building #754
- Stormwater catch basins and conveyance pipes
- Bioretention stormwater treatment facilities and infiltration drywells.
- Site lighting
- Shrubs and trees
- Bid Options include:

- Construct a new asphalt road between building 752 and 753
- Bid Option #2 Lighting Fixture Option
- Install site lighting including but not limited to luminaire, light pole base, and conductors.
